and combining that annoying curling ribbon we all use with yarn to make a knit basket that actually stands up straight and a market bag that won’t stretch down to your knees after a few uses.

I’m so excited and thrilled and relieved and filled with joy to birth this beast out into the world. It was of course about triple the work either of us anticipated with many bumps, bruises and swearing (at least on my end) to get it finished. And I’m so happy we did! Because. It. Is. Awesome!

I’m going to be totally conceded here and say that this is the sweetest ebook ever…. okay I can’t be that conceded because I totally loved Knitting Game by Lee and Diane’s Craft Blog series of ebooks. After I finished my daily drawing on the 4 1/2 x 5″ paper, I wanted to draw more. I cracked open my new sketch book and drew molly. She was doing that really cute thing where she curls up and tucks her head upside down under her paw. I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out. After over a week of drawing every day, like doing actual studies and focusing (most days), I feel like my hands and eyes are finally remembering what it’s all about.

And here is our awesome set up, hehe. It totally works and honestly we don’t need any more space than this. We are sheltered from the rain, get great light, and don’t have to worry about fumes. Perfect!

And then here is my next project:

I’m going to paint that picture onto that canvase. But first I need to map out the basic lines so I don’t mess up my prospective. I’m going to go work on that right… Now!

I really love this little postcard I made up last Friday night. I picked up this great vintage book on written codes and it has all these different keys in it.  I plan on making a few more in the Coding Postal Series and having them made into printed post cards. Once I get them all done I’ll add them to the Kro Studio Shop.

This fine little number was only $20 from Target, inadvertently, thanks mom and dad!

The local quilt shop was having a huge sale and I just couldn’t resist. These fabrics will be going into market and temari ball bags that I will be putting into my shop under Handmade Goods, that will take a couple weeks at least though, I’ll keep you updated.

I just posted this week’s midweek post for craft leftovers, so be sure to check that out. I made a little to-do list from mis-prints of patterns, a gift bag and some scrap book paper.

In other news, I’m just about set to put some drawings up for sale in the shop. I’m thinking they will be up by noon tomorrow if not sooner. I added a shop page with sub-links last night, took pictures today, and tomorrow I will post.
