I took yesterday off at the office to work in my studio. I’m working on a piece for the Beyond Audubon juried show in Chicago. Let’s see if I can get it done and images sent in by the 10th. I just learned about it last weekend.  Go go go!

I sure am glad I just kept going with this little drawing. It’s so much better now than when I stopped after just the colored pencils. I went back in with the outlining and cross hatching and then more colored pencils over that. Still not happy with the stem, but I’ll keep working on it. [...]
