Crafty Buddies Embroidery!

I had a lot of fun putting together a set of embroidery designs this week! I started out with this illustration and decided it would be really fun to do a set of embroidery patterns. They are now available in the Kro Studio shop! I’m looking for printer that will make some high quality prints of [...]

Sunny Skies Sun Hat :: Crochet Pattern on Green Prairie Fibers!

Two great things today! First, was the first class of a three part class on making a sun hat out of raffia – working with raffia being the primary focus of the class. It’s a challenge, but it’s fun and I love the way it looks crocheted up. Second is that for the very first [...]

Kro Studio Shop :: Officially Open for Business!

It’s taken me forever, and really it was just moving it from BigCartel forever ago over to Etsy that took so long. I updated the banner and Kro Postal has officially morphed into the Kro Studio shop. I’m working on some patterns, zines, collage kits and prints for the shop that will be going in [...]

New Yarns!

I added new yarn to the shop today! Some great lace weight superwash merino. It’s great for socks, shawls, any lace really. It blocks beautifully! I added some really pretty pink merino yarn, it’s dk and wonderfully soft. It’s a semi solid and ranges from deeper pinks to pale pinks. I have these two yarns [...]

New Fabrics for the Last Time

Well, I just added the last three colors of the hemp fabric to the Green Prairie Fibers shop. I really like this fabric for so many reasons and I’m so sad that I can’t get my hands on any more of it. But c’est la vie! Onward and upward. I have listed all of what [...]

Hello! Kro Postal is Alive and Kicking!

Hi there! It has been forever since I posted. As you can imagine, things have been super crazy here in the middle of Iowa. It has been really fun though (except that I’m sick with this cold thing, no good, but other than that, awesome!).  I’m really happy to announce that after too long of [...]

Relaxing!

I’m yelling at myself to relax, that’s what the title was saying. More a message to me than you, unless you are running around and need someone to yell at you to relax, then I say to you too “RELAX!” I just sent off my application for an artist residency program. It was so hard [...]

Aloo Market Bag, I finallllly finished it after so many months. I am going to finish writing the pattern soon (hopefully) and it will be $1 in the gpf shop and free with purchase of aloo yarn (i’m adding it back into the shop soon). The start of Jason’s mom’s wrap around shawl. I’m going [...]

Saturday Night Rumble

I’m honestly not sure why it’s a rumble, but I think it is. Maybe it’s because I’m watching the debates in New Hampshire right now that a Saturday Night Rumble is on the brain. First off, I wanted to let you know that I decided to go with Etsy for my shop. It’s sooo easy. [...]
