Into a Painting: Sick Day

Well, today, I’m totally sick. And in a way it’s kind of fun because I’m going to drink tea, lay on the couch, and draw. I think that’s a good combo.

I don’t have anyway to take pictures or scan what I’m drawing, so I’ll post a two for one Daily Drawing days 4 & 5 – hey, that’s almost a week. Not too much longer and this will be a habit no problem.

I dug around through some past drawings on flickr and this one struck me the most:

It reminds me of a dream. It reminds me of fishing with my dad as a kid. I think it would make a really fun painting. I have this piece of odd shaped canvas (like 10 x 30″) that I think would do well with this image. Maybe stars and fish up to the top.

Also, last night when I was too tired to work and was aimlessly browsing, I found this really neat blog. It’s called “Artists who blog” and each week she posts an interview with an artist who, you guessed it, blog. It’s really neat to see the broad range of styles, work spaces, and creative processes each artist has.
